The Infamous Quiapo

The Quiapo Church or also known as “The Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene” is a basilica in the district of Quiapo in Manila, Philippines. This basilica is considered to be the home of Black Nazarene and it is under Archdiocese of Manila.

The architectural design of the church is also in Baroque style, Quiapo Church’s façade is distinctive with twisted columns on both levels. The columns of the second level has a third of its shaft twisted near the base, while the upper portion has a smooth surface. The topmost portion of the four-storey bell tower are rimmed. A window in the center of the pediment was sealed up and replaced with a relief of the crossed keys and tiara of the pope – a symbol of its status as a minor basilica.

For airport and airline, NAIA or Ninoy Aquino International Airport is the near airport to Chinatown and it is located at Manila, Philippines. For airlines, we recommend Cebu Pacific Airline and Philippine Airline. Both airlines are famous here in the Philippines but they have their differences on their prices. Cebu Pacific is more affordable than Philippine Airline but despite the differences, they will give you a nice and safe ride on air.
